Final joint press release – All Hallows
The clerk attended the latest meeting of the All Hallows Closure Liaison Group on Friday 26th April with the attached press release already in the public domain. The meeting was attended by Peter Aldous, the M.P. for Waveney, and representatives of All Hallows and the purchasers of health and social care services.
It was made clear at the meeting that new providers were extremely likely to be continuing to operate the Adele House Nursing Home and the home care without disruption to services. There was also strong hopes this would be the case with day care and the meals on wheels service, although things weren’t quite as advanced.
With the Ditchingham hospital there is also an organisation interested in taking this on, although there is a lot more to be done before that could be definite. However what was made clear by all at the meeting is that there is a desire to continue the use of Ditchingham’s 30 bed hospital, even if it is in a different way from at present, and even if there is an interruption to the service.
The group will meet again in 2 to 3 weeks time, by when more definite news should be available; and this website will be updated with information from that meeting.
