PLEASE note the date of the May meeting has been changed from Thursday 8th to Thursday 15th (see details below). This is because the village hall will be used on the 8th to hold the events to mark the 80th anniversary of VE Day. (This amendment added Friday 21st March)

All meetings are at 7.30 p.m. in the village hall and are all in the main hall apart from the May one, which will be held in the small meeting room; and the November one, which could possibly be held in the small meeting room. All members of the public are encouraged to attend.

CANCELLATION OF 2ND JULY PARISH COUNCIL MEETING
The parish council meeting on the 2nd July will have to be cancelled as village halls will remain closed at that time. It will be rearranged for later in the month but will probably be a virtual meeting again, as although halls can reopen in certain circumstances from the 4th July the strong advice of the National Association of Local Councils is it should take place on-line; as there are risks with holding physical meetings and many restrictions on the way they can take place while the advice is to continue home working when possible. This website will be updated when further decisions have been taken.

This has been organised to replace the meeting on Thursday 14th May at the village hall which couldn’t be held because of the government Coronavirus restrictions. Residents of Broome can make their views known on agenda items by e-mail to broomeparishcouncil@outlook.com; or by post to the parish clerk Paul Austin, 57, Loddon Road, Ditchingham, Bungay, Suffolk NR35 2RA; or phone (01986) 892012. Please submit correspondence by Thursday 28th May 2020 and quote agenda item no.
Attached are the minutes of the last parish council meeting, together with the same minutes with additional text in blue giving updated information, and the agenda for Thursday week’s meeting again with blue text added giving background information to new items on the agenda.
After Thursday 28th May any necessary resolutions will be drafted based on responses by councillors and members of the public and then voted on by councillors in order to decide parish council policy.

CANCELLATION OF ANNUAL PARISH MEETING ON THURSDAY 2ND APRIL
The above meeting has been indefinitely postponed due to the government advice relating to the Coronavirus. It will be re-arranged when it is safe to do so and the new date will be publicised. The parish council is disappointed at the cancellation as Helen Stokes, the managing director of Care Tech Ltd, the new operator of All Hallows, had agreed to be the guest speaker. Broome Parish Council hopes that all villagers follow advice, stay safe and well, and will be fit and healthy once this crises is behind us.
