There will again be no parish council poll in Broome in May 2019. Of the existing parish councillors  6 of the 7 have been re-nominated and returned unopposed.

They are :-

Mal Howlett

Ann Frost

Jackie Kellett

Fred Hartwell

The 7th councillor, Robert Earl, the present chairman, did not stand for re-election.  He has found his work commitments have increased since his retirement. He has been a councillor since 1982 and was thanked for his services at the annual parish meeting on the 4th April.

The resulting vacancy can be filled at the new council’s first meeting – the annual general meeting on Thursday 9th May at 7.30 p.m. at the village hall. Councillors can co-opt a resident of Broome to join them and bring the council up to full strength.
