All Hallows (5)

Broome Parish Council was represented at the latest meeting of the liaison committee on Friday 14th June, along with representatives of the public bodies that organise health and social care as well as the Waveney M.P. Peter Aldous.

At the meeting it was made known that arrangements for the transfer of the running of home care and Adele House were almost complete. A press release regarding day care will be made on Monday. A steering group, on which Broome Parish Council will be represented, has been formed which will have as it’s aim the re-use of the now disused hospital in the best possible way for health and social care.

Physiotherapy was only undertaken at All Hallows on a sub contract basis. When All Hallows pulled out it was taken back by East Coast Care. It is currently being provided in Beccles, but there are some hopes that it will in the future be provided for local people in Bungay or Ditchingham.
